Why Do Women in Their 30s Not Want to Date Men in Their 40s?

I thought that since I was an attractive, fit, well-educated, financially and emotionally secure guy that I would have no problem finding a woman in her mid 30s to settle down with and start a family. I have tried a combination of online dating, speed dating, professional singles events, volunteering, happy hours etc. I thought that online dating would be great since you are essentially pre-screening people for dates. I am told that women want to settle down and have kids, etc. At singles events, women come in groups and are reluctant to talk to men. In online situations, women say they want desperately to meet a nice guy like me, but never answer my response to their profile. I am trying to remain positive, but two things are really bothering me. One, that younger women are no longer interested in dating men who are even just slightly years older than them and sometimes want to date men years younger then them. I find the latter hard to believe, but find this mantra in every profile of every professional woman online. Any advice on how to navigate these new paradigms in the dating world?

Every Buddhist aspires to be rid of the delusion of ego, free oneself from the fetters of this world, and thus overcome the repeated rounds of rebirths. To put it another way, the Buddhists aim to extinguish the fire that accompanies living; the fire of illusion, passion and craving. They search for not just the cessation of this fire but for the eternal, the immortal.

Despite his successful acting career, no one would have thought that this actor would have such a beautiful daughter.

On the face, this is not particularly offensive if the class exists primarily within the AMYA. But if 99 percent of class boat owners are not AMYA members, and the class specification is approved by a multi-country class organization — then this practice is divisive. As we all know, there are enough challenges to growing and maintaining an RC sailboat class. It is confusing to newcomers and unnecessarily thumbs-a-nose to larger class organizations.

In the past, AMYA members who own one of these two large classes have not attempted to change the class specifications within AMYA, even though they could. But now, a splinter group from the Nirvana class is proposing to vote on a class specification that is not in compliance with the international class rule that Nirvana follows — and tomorrow, it could be the RC Laser specification coming under attack.

Kennedy Most of us take most things for granted most of the time. But that habitual attitude is not very conducive to either gratitude or happiness. We become better, kinder, more thoughtful and loving people because of it. The kinder we are, the better the world will be, one happier person at a time. Gratitude, it turns out, is no small issue. It can be life-changing, radically altering the way we see and interpret life.

Gratitude is the electricity that ignites happiness. It is the breeze that lifts it. It is the context that allows it. This post is my attempt at enlarging the list of things we are grateful for, at reducing what we habitually take for granted and thereby providing some lift and electricity to our happiness.
